At EM Skills we take pride in what our learners achieve and how they develop on their journey to success. Below are some of our learners’ experience with us and how they get closer to their goals everyday!
Niyah – Level 3 Beauty therapy student
I very much enjoy this course and learn new skills everyday. This helps me to improve my current skills and brings me closer to my goal of becoming a successful beautician. The working environment is very calm and not stressful, this alongside very supportive teachers helps me to learn a great amount. All of my peers are very encouraging and we help one another when we are unsure about something.
Asha – Level 2 Beauty therapy student
Since the beginning of the level 2 beauty course I have built great relationships with my peers and tutors. This has not only helped me to enjoy coming into the salon but has also helped me to learn a lot on my course. As a result of this I have been able to develop my skills and knowledge and improve my confidence. I notice this daily as I am more outspoken. For example, I enjoy projecting my voice and explaining my ideas.
Melissa Burgio – ESOL student
Melissa first joined us in 2019 to complete an English for speakers of other languages course. She then went on to join maths and customer service courses. She has now gained qualifications from this and is able to access a higher position in employment. Here is what she said about her experience with us;
I first heard of EM Skills from a friend and decided to join as I wanted to gain a better understanding of English and get a better job. My confidence is a lot better than before and I find it much easier to communicate with others daily. I am looking forward to using my qualifications and accessing better employment and continue to learn more with EM Skills.
Nurten Sayar Kuzu – ESOL student
After consideration Nurten decided our English speaking course was the perfect match for her due to the flexible class times, the friendly atmosphere and the useful learning materials that are provided which she can use both at home and in the classroom. Within a few weeks into her English course she felt that she had learnt a lot about herself and improved her English speaking skills greatly, she volunteered to work in our main office at EM Skills to undertake different duties that would enhance her business English and socialise with co-workers. Although this was a difficult move, as she had an apprehensive mind set, Nurten now feels thrilled she took the opportunity and now believes she is on the right road to success. EM Skills were so impressed with Nurten’s work performance in the office she has been offered part-time employment doing different office duties throughout the week.
