Moving Forward with Move Forward
Success for EM Skills’ ‘Move Forward’ programme as our Letchworth students use enterprise skills to raise money for charity
On Tuesday 9th July 2019, students on the EM Skills ‘Move Forward’ programme organised and raised money for Cancer Research UK. The bake sale, hosted in Letchworth Morrisons was a great success as they managed to raise an incredible £80 in just a few hours.
The students on this programme are all Electively Home Educated who attend the Move Forward programme to gain the skills and knowledge they need to access further education and worthwhile careers.
The focus of the programme is to help the students gain crucial qualifications as well as important life skills. The charity bake sale was hosted as part of their ‘Running an Enterprise’ project. All of the products sold were homemade by the students and includes chocolate fudge, ice cube tray chocolates and marshmallows. The manager of Letchworth Morrisons had the following to say.
The students were great and Morrisons are very happy to help with such worthwhile projects.Simon Hill, Manager at Letchworth Morrisons
